09/05/13: The Cairns Crocs Series Race #1 will be held at Yorkeys Knob on Sunday 19 May 2013. Sign in / numbering is from 6:15 AM, Transition opens at 6.15 AM and closes at 7:00 AM, Race Briefing will be at 7:00 AM and the race starts at 7:30 AM. Please don’t arrive at 6:50 – it isn’t fair to our volunteers and just stresses everybody, you included.

Registration is now open and closes Friday 17 May at 6:00 PM. Registration will be capped at 199 entries so don’t wait too long before entering! Please see here to enter.

The event is currently scheduled as a Triathlon but if the stinger nets are still in and/or the risk of stingers is high then we will be unable to have a swim. If that is the case (and it is very likely the nets will be in) then we will revert to a Duathlon. As a Triathlon Australia sanctioned race, the risk assessment conditions require us to follow the advice from Surf Life Saving and Cairns Regional Council in this regard so please don’t blame us.
