Located on Scott Street near the corner of Severin Street. This is a dedicated running track where we do mainly speed & technique work. Short sprints, core strength & is designed to increase your running speed & efficiency. Good fun & it wears the kids out

Hill Run (Phil's Hills)

Hill run from Smithfield Pool. About 10 Km, lots of hills, about 90 minutes worth. We take the dogs & they are trashed at the end of it! Its all up through the mountain bike tracks.

Hill Ride

5.30am sharp meet at base of hill, cnr of 1st St on left under street light - McFarlane Drive. Allow about an hr to get to the electronic gate just before Cafe. Session is usually finished by 7am. Generally this is only a small gathering, cycle as far as you like; cycle ends at electronic gate where regroup occurs before returning at light speed! ... Please ensure bike is checked before tackling this ride, pay particular attention to tyres and brakes, making sure they are in good condition.

Smithfield Public Pool

We do a pool swim, cycling & running are all on generally quiet public roads. Suits all ages & abilities, nice & safe,
 

Lake Placid

Near the Caravan Park.

Open water lake swim. You need to be a competent swimmer here & there can be a current. Beautiful spot, ride & bike is generally on low traffic public roads

 
Trinity Beach
Current Towards southern end of the Esplanade. Turn right when you hit the beach & down about 250 meters. Ocean swim so you will need to be competent, bike ride can be a bit busy with cars, run is fine. This is a postcard setting on a nice morning & worth the effort.

Bike Ride

Please enquire through the website for updates on Sundays Riding:

2-3 hour ride. Not really for the kids so 14 years on & reasonably confident on the road. Cater for all levels & we do have a good system & great roads to ride. Depends on who turns up as to where we go. Out to Rex Lookout on the Port Road, Crystal Cascades Rd, Barron River Rd, Copperlode Dam Lake Morris Road, Kuranda or just around town are some examples

 




Beginners Riding School. All Levels & Ages 

This will be held out at my place at Kewarra once a month at this stage or as demand requires it. Probably on a Saturday arv's. It will cover the absolute basics of cycling. Gear selection, correct cadence (pedalling speed), safe braking, cornering, dealing with traffic, basic bike set up, maintenance, changing flat tyres, use of the wind trainer & how to do one handed wheelies while sipping your drink bottle.
