All visitors are welcome however due to insurance issues you must be a current Cairns Crocs Triathlon Club member this will move depending on seasonal focus Mondays 5:15pm - ~6:45pm Barlow Park Run Training. $3.50 Park Entry Suits all abilities, all ages & kids. Located on Scott Street near the corner of Severin Street. This is a dedicated running track where we do mainly speed & technique work. Short sprints, core strength & is designed to increase your running speed & efficiency. Good fun & it wears the kids out Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday | Saturday | Sunday Tuesdays 6:00am Woree Pool [heated] Swim Good swim session/squad is starting up $12 includes 90 minutes of well supervised torture & technique. Tuesdays 5:00pm Smithfield Pool Hill Run (Phil's Hills) Hill run from Smithfield Pool. About 10 Km, lots of hills, about 90 minutes worth. We take the dogs & they are trashed at the end of it! Its all up through the mountain bike tracks. Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday | Saturday | Sunday Wednesdays 5:30am Lake Morris Rd (Copperload) Hill Ride 5.30am sharp meet at base of hill, cnr of 1st St on left under street light - McFarlane Drive. Allow about an hr to get to the electronic gate just before Cafe. Session is usually finished by 7am. Generally this is only a small gathering, cycle as far as you like; cycle ends at electronic gate where regroup occurs before returning at light speed! ... Please ensure bike is checked before tackling this ride, pay particular attention to tyres and brakes, making sure they are in good condition. Wednesdays 5:45am Edge Hill School Swim Bill Evans Swim Squad Wednesdays 5:30pm - 7:00pm Woree Pool [heated] Swim Good swim session/squad is starting up $12 includes 90 minutes of well supervised torture & technique. Experience 2 coaches Richie Bates (cycling focus) and Joel (triathlon) Thursday 5:15pm Smith Park Velodrome (Keeble St., [one way] off Moody St.) Cycle Meet at Velodrome at 5:15pm for warmup, drills, speed work and warmdown ... $5 adults, $2 juniors to cover track costs. Not really for the kids so 14 years on & reasonably confident on the road. Cater for all levels & we do have a good system & great roads to ride. Depends on who turns up as to where we go. Out to Rex Lookout on the Port Road, Crystal Cascades Rd, Barron River Rd, Copperlode Dam Lake Morris Road, Kuranda or just around town are some examples
