Welcome to our very popular and beautiful Lake Eacham Triathlon. Lake Eacham, is part of the Crater Lakes National Park and is situated in the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. Lake Eacham is a maar (a crater lake formed by volcanic explosions) surrounded by rainforest.
On Sunday morning 20th May 2018 the event begins with a swim in the clear, blue lake surrounded by cool rainforest. Then ride your bike along Lakes Drive (sealed bitumen access road) and finish off with a run on the 3 kilometre lake circuit track which is normally home for musky-rat kangaroos, small marsupials and other native animals. Relax after everyone assists with pack-down with the award presentation or bring up a picnic and enjoy the rest of your day.
As numbers are limited (due to our permit), this event normally sells out very quickly.
